It was an interesting day. I watched two children today, ages 6 and 4 and a half. That half is very important to a four year old. The first half of the day went a bit slowly, I think because I was adjusting to their personalities. And the fact it didn’t get above 28 degrees today and was about 50 mile an hour winds. I did get them out for a quick nature walk but after the four and a half year old nearly blew into the Potomac, I figured it was time to go back in the house. By the afternoon, we were having a great time. They had mellowed out a bit and we had a great time coloring, reading books and cutting out snowflakes.
My tutoring student ended up calling last minute and canceling. I sort of expected this. She didn’t have her last 2 days of classes before winter break because of the blizzard, so there was no homework given. She doesn’t return to school until next week, so we figured we will pick up tutoring again on next Tuesday.
Tomorrow will be similar to today. Watching the two kids in the morning and then heading home to write for the afternoon. Still trying to stay focused and productive so I can avoid having to work on Friday.
It has been a good week so far but I have felt a little blue this evening. No idea why at all. Work has been going well and I have a good New Year’s planned. Maybe it is just one of those days. Hopefully the gloom will shake tonight and tomorrow will be better. I have an afternoon swim planned at the gym and that usually helps perk me up.
To Smile.

I hope your swim helped today. Let’s make a lunch date next week? I still have the gift certificate that I won at last years party, so let’s use that!
