Why was my day so perfect?
It was perfect because I was able to get so many different things done today that support various aspects of my life.
I began the day by heading to the gym. When the alarm went off this morning, I wanted to hit snooze. I even asked Justin if I was allowed to hit snooze and in a bizarre moment of clarity on his part, he said “no”. Anyway, I went to the gym and lifted for about an hour, then I went and met Laura for a fabulous hour walk in the warm sun.
Then, I packed my bags and my lunch knowing I wouldn’t be back home until late today. I took Justin’s truck to get an emissions test and then went to Border’s to write for the day. I managed to hit my daily writing goal a little early and even had a few moments to wander around Border’s. Then I went to tutor for two hours, which was an enjoy time where I got to joke around and study with my kids. I love that school is almost over because the kids seem so cheerful! After tutoring, I went shopping at Nordstrom’s Rack, found some great shoes for Europe, and then walked into my house where dinner was waiting for me on the table.
In my world, this day couldn’t get any better. Most of the time, I would think, “Wow, I was so busy today”, but today I was able to remember this is the exact day I dreamed about. I was able to workout extra long, I got some chores done, worked plenty and then was even able to squeeze in a little shopping. Best of all? I wasn’t relied on for dinner and I wasn’t carpooling, so I was free to do what I wanted and able to arrive home after I got most of my To-Do List completed.
Today was liberating and motivating!
To Smile.
