I have spent my entire morning writing articles about vacations. One article was on adventure vacations around the world which sounded so amazingly and right up my alley. Sailing through Turkey or Cycling in Vietnam? Yes, please! The past hour has been spent writing about ski resorts in France. One of the most entertaining parts was writing an article on Morzine, which is a town Justin and I already have two nights book at this July. Many of the French towns I have been writing about are already on our itinerary for this summer’s vacation. Gets me SO excited to think about! And I know July will be here before I know it!
Yesterday, I spent much of the afternoon writing about luxury accommodations in hard to reach destinations. Think in backcountry Canada lodges that you only can hike-in or ski-in or exotic locations in Ecuador that are reached only by an hour or two on a motorized canoe. Writing about all these trips makes me want to leave Virginia and head abroad! At least I can live vicariously through my writing, for the time being. These articles are so much more enjoyable for me to write than some of the others. I can dream about trips I will take in the future and learn about all sorts of different locations throughout the world. Now if only I could hit the lottery and just make a living traveling to these exotic places and then writing about them! I think I could persuade Justin to quit his job if that is what life would entail! A girl can dream, can’t she?
To Smile.

Ahh….vacation. It’s been two years since I went on one (other than with my family to Michigan last summer….which counts, but doesn’t seem like it).
My cousin is teaching in France until May, but he’s thinking about staying there for awhile after he is finished. Though I’ll miss him, I kind of hope he chooses to stay – I’d love to visit! I’ve never been. Your trip this summer will be AMAZING. Do you have a countdown going??
And I should get a countdown going! Excellent idea!

Last month, I had to write short articles on kiteboarding destinations for work, which include Italy, Belize, Venezuela, Cayman Islands, and the like. I was sitting there going “This just isn’t fair…”
Your trip to France sounds so exciting! I’d love to go and spend more time in the smaller towns and countryside. I’ve been to Paris twice (plus one day on accident) and it’s one of my favorite cities, but I want to see more!
